DAN STRULL
Dan Strull was born in New York City and grew up in a Reformed Jewish home. He attended Hebrew school and became a Bar Mitzvah at 13 and was confirmed at 16. In 1975 Dan came to faith in Messiah Yeshua while living in Aspen Colorado.
Shortly after marrying in 1977, Dan and his wife Cynthia moved from Aspen to a suburb of Philadelphia where they served in the headquarters of the North Africa Mission, a mission agency working among Arabic-speaking Muslims of North Africa and France. Dan served on the support team, ministering to missionaries as they returned to and from the field.
In 1980 Dan enrolled in Columbia International University in Columbia South Carolina, from which he graduated summa cum laude in December of 1983 with a B.A. in Bible with a missions emphasis.
Following graduation from CIU Dan was called to serve with Jews for Jesus in the Chicago branch, where he served as a front-line evangelist for three and a half years. In the summer of 1987, Dan was called to serve as pastor of the Olive Tree Congregation of Suburban Chicago. Dan continues to serve Olive Tree, a Messianic Congregation of Jews and Gentiles sharing new life in Messiah.
Dan currently serves on the board of directors of Life In Messiah Ministries, and has served on the boards of Light of Messiah Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Biblical Counseling Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Dan and Cynthia live in Prospect Heights Illinois, have three grown children and five grandchildren. Dan’s sermons, personal testimony and blog can be found through the Olive Tree Congregation web site www.olive-tree.org.
